Event History:
The Taste of the Tri-Cities and the Spirit of Community Awards (SOCA) were originally presented by the Society for Community Development (SCD) with both events occurring on the same night for 10 years.

After experiencing rapid growth, the planners used a brief hiatus time to regroup and ensure that both events were current and fresh. In 2008, The Taste of the Tri-Cities was presented as a trade show style event featuring all of the great things the community has to offer from restaurants to businesses. While the show was a tremendous success, the community consistently voiced its wish to have SOCA brought back.

The Taste and SOCA Together Again! – 2010 marked the return of TASTE and SOCA together and they were greeted with great enthusiasm resulting in a smashing success!!
