Can you Taste it? Annual festival is selling out indulgent weekend events…
Today, The Main Event uncorks Taste: Victoria’s Festival of Food and Wine. Selling out swiftly, this popular event celebrates Vancouver Island cuisine and British Columbian wines. The third-annual festival, known for its culinary consciousness and integrity, launches with an evening of local tasting and grazing featuring the cuisine of chefs who walk-the-talk plus 36 BC wineries. Last minute tickets for the 6:30 p.m. event are available at the door with sales beginning at 1:00pm, Crystal Garden, 713 Douglas Street (near Belleville). Proceeds from the event will go to The Land Conservancy, an organization with a strong future vision of the region’s food scene.
Tickets are still available for weekend events; Sips and Seafood at Inn at Laurel Point, Swine and the Vine at Hotel Grand Pacific, A Guided Tea Journey and Tasting at Silk Road, and Land and Sea Harvest on the Family Farm, a white-linen dinner hosted by the Marina restaurant in the middle of a farm field at Vantreight Farm.
