Winery Excited to Add the Restaurant Team
The South Okanagan’s newest culinary showpiece is about to open its doors, just in time for spring!
Hester Creek Estate Winery is thrilled to welcome the owners of Terrafina Restaurant Ltd, executive chef Jeremy Luypen and operating manager April Goldade. Terrafina at Hester Creek will contribute to the Okanagan Valley’s ever growing culinary and wine experiences.
This stunning new restaurant is located in the former tasting room that has been re-designed to provide an intimate setting for the 47-seat restaurant plus additional patio seating for 24 under a lush, vine covered trellis. The old brick, wooden pillars and iron chandeliers capture the recognizable character of Hester Creek Estate Winery, much like you would find in a villa overlooking the hills in Tuscany.
Defined as ‘from the earth’, Terrafina is inspired by two things; Hester Creek having some of the oldest vines which date back as far as 1968, and the abundance of locally-grown produce available from Okanagan Valley farmers. Both of these ingredients have made the region the culinary destination it is today.
In true Tuscan style, executive chef Jeremy Luypen is passionate about capturing the natural flavours of the locally-grown and farmed produce. From wood-stone baked bread to house-made pizzas, pasta and ingredients, the light, flavourful dishes are a breath of Italy and created to marry perfectly with Hester Creek’s award winning wines.
