ABOUT THE BBQ ON THE BYPASS
Founded in 2005 by award winning pitmaster, Angie Quaale, “BC’s Queen of BBQ” and the owner of the Well Seasoned, the BBQ on the Bypass has become a popular event amongst competitors and the public alike. Quaale’s vision was to create a regional competition certified by the Pacific Northwest BBQ Association for local competitors to showcase their skills and win prizes. The event quickly blossomed into an annual community event which attracts thousands of BBQ fans throughout B.C., Alberta and the United States. In 2012, teams will compete in the categories of beef brisket, ribs, chicken, pork butt and a black box category for a chance to earn trophies and cash prizes, plus an opportunity to compete in the Jack Daniel’s World BBQ Championship in Tennessee. www.bbqonthebypass.com
