The Sylvia restaurant, Desert Hills Winery & Granville Island Beer are participating in an event with a group of ladies called the Posh Pals in their effort to raise $10 000 for the Weekend to End Breast Cancer Fundraiser.

The cocktail style event is being held in our dining room on Thursday June 25th from 5pm until 9pm. Tickets are limited and the Sylvia only has 50 tickets available at this time. Tickets are $25 cash (as they are not sold through the hotel).

The ticket will include two drink taster tickets, canapés, risotto bar, door prize draw & access to some fantastic silent auction items.

Desert Hills Winery will be offering a beautiful selection of their fantastic BC wines. We currently have the Pinot Gris, Gamay Noir and the lovely Mirage on our current wine list. The fantastic Mirage which is on our list for $75 per bottle and one of my personal favourite, will be available as a taster for a toonie donation.

Granville Island Brewing will be offering glass of their recently released Brockton IPA. Their India Pale Ale is now on tap at the Sylvia and has been receiving rave reviews from all the guests.

There is also a special martini bar with the Poshtini for a toonie donation as well.

The story behind the Posh Pals: Back in 2006 two of the four ladies joined a new company and were invited to a Posh Poker night in an effort to get to know each other. They soon dropped the Poker part of their nights but maintained the Posh. Three years later, they are trying to spread the word about acts of poshness, little things that you can do in your everyday life to make a difference for someone else.
