This week at Village Wines the owner of THE VIEW WINERY Jennifer Molgat will be here pouring the best that this Kelowna winery has to offer. Please join us for a splash of the always popular Frizzante bubbles, Distraction Rose, Gewurztraminer, Red Shoe Red and Pinotage.
Distraction Frizzante Bubbles 2011 – The sparkling counterpart to their Distraction Rosé. This lightly effervescent wine is delightfully playful. Aromas of strawberries, cranberry and pomegranate float and bubble out of the glass. On the palate, summer’s red berry fruit fills your mouth, followed by a lingering honey finish.
Distraction Rose 2011 – Intense aromas of bright cherries, sun kissed strawberries and pink grapefruit. The palate delivers a clean, crisp acidity, and a finish that lasts almost as long as the perfect sunset.
Gewurztraminer 2011 – This bright, aromatic Gewurztraminer offers layers of tropical fruit and a hint of rose petal. A crisp acidity is complemented by supple lychee, citrus and melon flavours that linger on a lengthy finish.
Red Shoe Red 2010 – A juicy, medium to full body Pinotage, it has aromas of spice and bright red berries. Lingering flavours of dark cherries and plums are nicely balanced by a vibrant acidity and pleasing tannins.
Pinotage 2009 – Pinotage’s two ancestors – Pinot Noir and Cinsault give this wine the personality of a more robust, more rustic Pinot Noir. Their 2009 Pinotage is elegant and earthy, with a vibrant dark-cherry nose. Juicy flavours of dark berries and spice are balanced by a lovely acidity and seamless tannins.
