Cheese and wine pairing seems obvious, but when you get the right matches they really sing. Our first step in the right direction was to pair Pekka, Benton Brothers Cambie Street cheesemonger, with Sheila, Firefly sales advisor, Certified Sommelier and French Wine Scholar.

Pekka is a cycling enthusiast with great knowledge when it comes to cheese and wine. Sheila knows and loves wine and is enthusiastic when it comes to cyclists.

Together, they will present you with eight wine and cheese pairings while touring you through the different regions of France. Who could pass up a summer holiday to the Loire, Burgundy, and the Rhone Valley?

It’s all the fun of a cycling tour without the sore derriere. You will receive a 10 per cent discount on your shopping following the tasting at Firefly and Benton Brothers, allowing you to recreate your favourite pairings at home.

Berets, helmuts and/or fleur-di-lis are optional. A bientot!
