What Does Turo-Turo Mean?

“Turo-turo” translates loosely to “point-point.” The phrase commonly refers to casual Filipino eateries where diners choose prepared dishes by pointing to the ones they would like to order.

For this event, Kulinarya is reinterpreting the familiar dining style as a composed tasting experience, giving each participating chef an opportunity to share an individual perspective on Filipino food.

The evening is both a celebration of Filipino cuisine and a showcase of the talent and creativity of Filipina chefs working in Vancouver.
