On until December 24 outside the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, the Vancouver Christmas Market is a sure fire way to get into the holiday spirit. With a Christmas Carousal, craft booths, food vendors, holiday carols and lots of twinkling lights there is much to keep the whole family busy.
Don’t miss the Christmas ornament store, it’s full of everything you’ll need to decorate your home.
There’s lots to eat and of course mulled wine, beer and hot drinks for the kids too.
Taste specialty foods including German Bratwurst, Swiss Raclette, Brataepfel (stuffed baked apples), Schupfnudeln (German noodles), Bavarian Leberkaes (meatloaf) and more.
Warm up with some potato soup. My pal Steve is the Soup Meister!
The wieners with sauerkraut come in all sizes.
Schnitzel comes wrapped in a pita.
For dessert baked apples.
Or waffles times two.
Christmas music fills the market spreading joy through the air.
I’m so in to the holidays this year!
