Vancouver Fall Home Show 2026: What to Eat, Sip and Explore

on

Chef demonstrations, artisan shopping and ideas for a more comfortable home come together at the Vancouver Convention Centre from October 15–18.

Fall tends to bring us back indoors—to the kitchen, the dinner table and the corners of home that could use a little attention. This year’s Vancouver Fall Home Show offers a reason to think about all three, with a program that goes beyond renovations to include cooking, local art, everyday wellness and a little shopping.

Running October 15–18 at the Vancouver Convention Centre’s West Building, the four-day event brings together home and lifestyle exhibitors alongside live presentations. For Good Life Vancouver readers, the Cooking Stage and Market District are good places to begin.

A Food-First Approach to the Show

The Cooking Stage offers a chance to pick up techniques and ideas from local chefs, with dishes that range from weekend brunch to seafood suppers.

On Friday, October 16 at 4:30 p.m., chefs Dez Lo and Haan Pacu-Chang are scheduled to prepare mussel spaghetti with Taiwanese three-cup flavours and Romanian-inspired steak buns.

Saturday’s lineup includes Loam Bistro chef Rahul Negi demonstrating pistachio French toast at noon, followed by Dez Lo and Billy Nguyen at 3:15 p.m. with tuna tataki and miso black cod.

On Sunday at 11 a.m., chef Michael Tiefenboeck and Copperpenny Distilling co-owner Jennifer Kom-Tong will pair chicken liver pâté with the distillery’s Figgy Pudding liqueur. At 2:30 p.m., The Great Canadian Baking Show judge Bruno Feldeisen turns to a savoury dish: sockeye salmon with squash and mushroom sauce.

The show’s Chef’s Table feature also gives selected visitors an opportunity to taste what is being prepared. Check the current stage schedule before heading down, as presentation times may change.

Sip, Shop and Discover Local Makers

The Market District Sip & Shop brings artisan products, home accessories and food samples into one browsing area. It is a natural stop between presentations, whether you are looking for something for your own home or getting an early start on gift shopping.

For walls that need attention, the Art Market will feature canvases, prints and photographs from local artists, including Monica Deac Art, Jules Frkovich and Heart of Fire and Ashes.

Comfort, Colour and Everyday Living

The Healthy Home exhibit, inspired by Sarah Baeumler, uses room settings to explore how furnishings, products and daily routines can support a more comfortable home. Organizers say the focus includes sleep, stress and everyday wellbeing.

Baeumler is also scheduled to speak on Thursday at 6 p.m. and Friday at 2 p.m. Other presentations cover colour choices, kitchen planning and floral design.

Tsawwassen-founded, women-owned clothing brand Smash + Tess adds a fashion element this year, with shopping on the show floor and a Saturday runway presentation at 1 p.m.
