Top chefs and restaurateurs from across BC gathered once again in Vancouver Tuesday evening for the 22nd Annual Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards. Despite the fierce competition, Waterfront Restaurant & Wine Bar was named the best Okanagan Restaurant for the third year in a row.
The annual awards are a celebration of outstanding food, innovation, leadership and exceptional service. “To be recognized as the top Okanagan restaurant for a third consecutive year is a true honour. We take great pride in our food, service and region,” explains Waterfront’s talented Chef/Sommelier Mark Filatow. “We partner with amazing local producers to source fresh, seasonal Okanagan ingredients that reflect all that our region has to offer. This award is a true testament to our dedication to quality.”

The esteemed judging panel noted that “self-effacing Chef Mark Filatow blends the bounty of the Okanagan with a smart and sleek room that’s “funky and affordable” again making Waterfront (Gold) the top place to gather in Kelowna”. Silver honours went to Wild Apple Grill under the helm of Chef Bernard Cassavant, while Bronze was awarded to Chef Rod Butters and his team at Raudz Regional Table.
