Growing Green: Young Organic Farmers Camps
Weeklong Organic Farmers camps at Covert Farms involve hands on activities aimed at educating children on the principles, practices, and procedures in growing chemical-free food. Kids aged 7–14 years will be planting and seeding, whilst learning about good and bad bugs, and getting to taste the fruit of their labors – literally. Throw in a few pool parties, photography classes, hikes, and a corn maze and you have a week of farming fun. The camps run Monday to Friday, 9 – 4pm, and the cost is $190 plus tax. Camps are bookable through Watermark Beach Resort, a great base for the adults to play whilst the kids earn their keep. Announcing Jonas Stadtlander at Watermark’s New Executive Chef
Chef Stadtländer will be at the helm of the Wine Bar & Patio. Jonas brings a combination of passion and experience to his new role leading the culinary team. He has acquired a wealth of experience at top restaurants in Japan, Germany, Australia, and Canada. His time at Germany’s Wielandshöhe restaurant and L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon in Tokyo gave him an appreciation for varied culinary and cultural traditions. His father is well-known chef Michael Stadtländer, and his family operates a mixed farm in rural Ontario that embodies the field-to-table approach. Jonas is excited about his new position at the Watermark, saying that “cooking in the South Okanagan is a dream for a chef” because of the region’s amazing abundance of premium ingredients.

The Ultimate Ladies Golf Getaway
Watermark Beach Resort have partnered with the Desert Golf Academy to put together an impressive value-priced golfing package for ladies looking to improve their game this summer.
