A few things to eat, drink and do this week
The temperature is a little less insane this weekend, so I actually feel a little more motivated to get out and do something. Here’s a few things that might appeal for those staying in and heading out. Order up some beer and pies from The BeerVan collection or The Pie Hole, sip on some Blue Grouse apertif and register for brunch class at The Dirty Apron.
Currently drinking? Wolf & Grouse Aperitif from Blue Grouse Wines
Meet your new summer companion, Wolf & Grouse Aperitif from Blue Grouse Wines. This bittersweet apéritif orange zest, floral notes and bitter gentian root, with sweet caramel overtones. Made with Vancouver Island wine and bitters from Italy, this is perfect splashed into a sparkling wine such as the Paul Sparkling from Blue Grouse, add a little to soda for a lighter drink, or go heavy with gin and you’ll have a drink similar to a Negroni. It’s actually a bit sweet on its own for me, but the possibilities for mixology are endless. Available to wine club members only and coming to a restaurant near you soon. We sampled ours at Forage with this amazing cheese and charcuterie tray. Bring on Apero Hour!
