What’s Good This Week – Events in and around Vancouver

We’re back from the Okanagan and had about the best trip ever there. Scouted out our wedding location, had some amazing meals at home and out, visited new breweries, cideries and wineries and got some good family time in with not even one argument. Now it’s time to unpack, prep for Deighton Cup, and get back to it in Vancouver.

July 16 Deighton Cup

Outfit planning has commenced and now I just need jewelry and a hat. Thank god for Jeweliette and Hive Mind Millinery (and there’s still time for you too!).

This year, The Deighton Cup is excited to open up the entire Marquee and Concourse as one complete VIP experience. Attendees will be given full inclusive access to traditional areas hosted by The Deighton Cup in years past including the Mile’s End Motors Field of Dreams, picnic area, cigar lounge & Veuve Clicquot champagne stage. Tickets!

New for 2016, we’re excited to announce an increased amount of space for derby-goers, festival activations and interactive attendee areas. Additionally, the entire festival grounds will be exclusive to Deighton Cup ticket holders only as well as an increased number of food tents throughout the entire venue.

Until September 24 Merry Wives of Windsor

This is one of the best shows we have seen in a very long time. Who knew you could laugh so hard at Shakespeare. It’s 1968 in Windsor, Ontario and English ex-pat Sir John Falstaff is hunting for a solution to his money troubles. He sends an identical love letter to two wealthy housewives, hoping to seduce them – and enjoy their fortunes – with no clue that they are best friends! When they discover his scheme, these merry wives set Falstaff up for some hilariously sweet revenge.
