Daffodils are blooming and spring is in the air, and even though I’m currently freezing and it feels far colder than 6 degrees out today,I’m sure that warmer days will soon come. But while we are waiting for more spring blooms and sunnier days, we can always eat, and eating well has always been for me what Easter’s all about. Here’s a few feasts that I’m contemplating indulging in this coming weekend.

Easter Brunch at H2 Rotisserie & Bar Brunch Buffet Sunday, April 1, from 11:45 am until 3 pm

The Westin Bayshore’s H2 Rotisserie has an extensive brunch buffet and activities that promise fun for all ages. . Feast on the Chef’s seasonal creations while children take part in an Easter egg hunt in the poolside garden and enjoy a special delivery by the Easter Bunny himself. This Easter spread is one for the books and boasts a variety of seafood on an ice tower; braided Easter bread; granola pancakes; artisanal cheese and charcuterie, and much more. These choices complement chef-manned action stations serving H2’s signature rotisserie chicken and honey-glazed ham, prosciutto sliced to order, and customized omelettes. After the savoury element of the meal, few will be able to resist Easter cookies, chocolates, a fully-stocked candy bar, cinnamon walnut coffee cake, and Easter-themed cupcakes. Dockside Restaurant to celebrate Easter with Marketplace Brunch Buffet Sunday,  April 1 10 a.m. AND 1 p.m. Seating

Sharing its Granville Island home with the world-famous public market is a constant inspiration for Dockside Restaurant. The bounty of colourful produce, locally-raised meat, and fresh-caught seafood is a reminder of BC’s bounty and the idea behind the Marketplace Easter Brunch Buffet. The buffet is built around themed stations inspired by Granville Island Market and Fisherman’s Wharf. Guests can enjoy delicious meats from “The Butcher”, local seafood from “The Wharf”, fresh baked goods at “The Market” and classic brunch items at “The Marketplace Kitchen”.
