Chef Hamid Salimian’s VCC Students Deliver A Tantalizing Meal
VCC Chef’s Table pop-up restaurant hosted by the VCC Culinary Arts is on until September 8th so you need to act quickly to get a seat for this one! We dined on the series menu last night and it is an impressive display of the culinary arts!
The Chef’s Table pop-up kitchen is a a gourmet five course menu designed by Chef Hamid Salimian with selected wine pairings, with only 20 seats available per night. Chef’s Table is run by students, led by award winning instructors, in Vancouver Community College’s International Culinary Arts Program.

Snack – tomato, parmesan, olive
Sturgeon – scallop, side stripe prawns, orange, dill
Monkfish – grilled octopus, tomato eggplant stew, basil
Squab – blackened salsify, kale, squab jus
Beef – tenderloin, veal sweet bread farce, leek, carrot, potato
Chocolate – ruby chocolate mousse, vanilla poached rhubarb, almond milk sorbet
