2024 Rise Awards Winners Celebrated at 17th Annual Rise Awards Night by BC Food & Beverage

The 2024 winners were honoured at the Rise Awards Night, hosted by BC Food & Beverage on November 28, 2024, in front of a packed crowd of over 400 attendees. This year’s event, which took place at a new venue, the Anvil Centre in New Westminster, was dedicated to acknowledging creativity, resilience, and community impact within British Columbia’s food and beverage industry. BC Food & Beverage proudly recognized exceptional leaders, innovators, and brands in 16 diverse award categories. During the ceremony, the Better Butchers Plant-Based Crumbles was awarded Gold for Product of the Year, Poptastic’s Honey Salt Popcorn took home Silver, and Chocxo Chocolatier’s Dark Chocolate Lemon Crème Cups earned Bronze. Terra Breads, this year’s inductee into the BCFB Hall of Fame, was recognized for its decades-long legacy of artisanal excellence, high-quality products, dedication to innovation and community commitment.

Chorizo Tostada Recipe for 🖤 💀 Día de Muertos - Day of the Dead 💀 🖤 or ANY DAY!

Ingredients

The Better Butchers Chorizo Pack
One pack of square Tostadas
Refried beans
Avocado, sliced Tomato, pico style
Lettuce, chopped
Green onions
Sliced Pickled Red Onion
Vegan crumble cheese
Limes

Instructions

Pre-heat oven to 400C.
Cook TBB chorizo in a cast iron or frying pan for 5 min on medium to high heat.
In the meantime, heat refried beans.
Warm the tostadas in the oven for 5min.
First, spread refried beans, then add a big spoonful of chorizo, sliced avocado, tomatoes, lettuce and green onion, and top with pickled onions and vegan cheese.
Finish with lime and a great attitude
