The Honda CR-V, the best-selling hybrid SUV in Canada, keeps getting better and more versatile with the refreshed 2026 CR-V adding a new TrailSport Hybrid model and more standard technology.
The new CR-V TrailSport Hybrid is the first Honda SUV to combine rugged TrailSport design and trail-ready all-terrain tires with the award-winning Honda two-motor hybrid-electric system. CR-V all-wheel drive models, including the new TrailSport Hybrid, also gain enhanced traction management, improving performance offroad.

The 2026 Honda CR-V will arrive at Honda dealers this spring. All CR-V models sold in Canada are built at Honda of Canada Mfg. in Alliston, Ontario.
The Honda CR-V lineup now includes two petrol-powered, turbocharged trims: the LX and Sport, plus four hybrid-powered trims: the new to the Canadian market Sport Hybrid, the new TrailSport Hybrid, EX-L Hybrid and the range-topping Touring Hybrid. The hybrid-electric models are positioned at the top of the lineup and represent more than 65% of CR-V sales.
“The new CR-V TrailSport Hybrid will undoubtably increase the popularity of Honda’s best-selling model, with the TrailSport trim already proving itself as a rugged, fun and capable platform on our Passport, Pilot and Ridgeline trucks,” said Emile Korkor, Assistant Vice President Honda Canada. “The CR-V, including the new TrailSport, is proudly built in Canada, its reliability, safety features, hybrid powertrain and on and offroad capabilities have earned the trust of Canadians, making it our most popular SUV.”
Increasing the availability of hybrid-electric models is key to the Honda electrification strategy. Led by CR-V, hybrids now represent 42% of all Honda brand sales. Honda TrailSport models now make up 30% of Passport, Pilot and Ridgeline sales combined.

The 2026 Honda CR-V offers more standard features than ever, including improved in-car technology that offers a larger and easy-to-use 9-inch colour touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ compatibility and a wireless phone charger.
Higher trims, including CR-V Sport Hybrid, EX-L Hybrid, the new TrailSport Hybrid and Touring Hybrid, get a new 46% larger 10.2-inch full digital instrument display with user-selectable functions, such as Honda Sensing® settings, vehicle information and more.
The rugged exterior design of the new CR-V TrailSport Hybrid comes with an aggressive 18-inch wheel design and a new TrailSport-exclusive Ash Green Metallic exterior colour that debuted on the all-new 2026 Passport TrailSport.
CR-V hybrid models, including the new TrailSport Hybrid, continue to feature an even bolder look (versus non-hybrids) with more aggressive front and rear styling, polished stainless steel exhaust finishers and larger 19-inch wheels and tires on the top Touring Hybrid trim.
To improve off-road performance, CR-V all-wheel drive models, including the new TrailSport Hybrid, gain enhanced traction management at speeds below 14 km/h. When a difference in the rotation speed of two of CR-V’s wheels is detected (one on each axle), the driving force transmitted to the two most tractive tires, and the braking force applied to the slipping wheels, are both increased.
The four hybrid-electric CR-V trims, including the new TrailSport Hybrid, feature the award-winning fourth-generation Honda two-motor hybrid system. This powerful and efficient powertrain includes two large electric motors to deliver a sporty driving experience, with 204 horsepower, 247 lb.-ft of torque and exceptional fuel economy.

Standard Continental CrossContact ATR all-terrain tires (235/60R18), mounted on unique Shark Gray 18-inch wheels, improve traction in dirt, sand, mud, rocky terrain and snow, while remaining quiet and comfortable on the road.
The TrailSport cabin stands out with the TrailSport logo embroidered on the front seat headrests and molded onto the standard all-season rubber floor mats. Moreover, the CR-V TrailSport Hybrid interior brightens the night with amber ambient lighting in the footwells, overhead console, door handle pocket, door tray and cupholders.
Every CR-V TrailSport Hybrid is extremely well-equipped for adventure with the Honda Real Time AWD with Intelligent Control System™, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, moonroof, 10.2-inch digital instrument display, 9-inch colour touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ compatibility, wireless phone charger and a power tailgate.
