Nimmo Bay Wilderness Resort offers five new packages designed for boaters

Boaters can tie up for the day, indulge in the Resort’s amenities and partake in its activities

Nimmo Bay Wilderness Resort is open to boaters; and with five day-use packages, there is a lot on offer from relaxation and gourmet food, to all-day guided wilderness and wildlife adventures.

“We want the boating community to know Nimmo Bay Wilderness Resort is open to them on a daily basis as well as to our multi-day guests,” says Becky Eert, marketing director for Nimmo Bay Wilderness Resort. “In fact, if boaters are in the area we encourage them to drop by for a free guided tour of the resort to see all that we have to offer. The mid-afternoon is a good time to visit and there’s usually a fresh-baked treat from our bakery available to sample.”

Whether boaters are looking for a gourmet meal, a chance to relax and recharge, or a once-in-a-lifetime wilderness adventure, Nimmo Bay Wilderness Resort has five unique day-use packages to meet their every need.

Wake up for a 3-course Breakfast Feast – join Nimmo Bay Wilderness Resort’s guests at 8 a.m. in the lodge’s family-style dining room for an energizing breakfast featuring fresh baked pastries, house-made granola served with fresh cut fruit and yogurt, and the chef’s daily breakfast creation. All breakfasts include coffee, cappuccino, a selection of specialty teas and fresh-squeezed juices. The breakfast feast is $35 Cdn per person.

Finish the day with a 4-course coastal dinner – Meeting at 6 p.m. on the floating fire dock, join Nimmo Bay Wilderness Resort’s guests for cocktails and appetizers before moving to the outdoor dining tables for a three-course gourmet meal of fresh, local, West Coast cuisine served with house-made bread. Meals are accompanied by the best of BC wines, a selection of beers and a fully stocked bar. The four-course coastal dinner is $125 Cdn per person.

Indulge with a massage and hot tub soak – Relax with a one-hour massage from one of Nimmo Bay Wilderness Resort’s registered massage therapists; recharge with a soak in one of the cedar hot tubs next to the cascading waterfall; and, if guests are feeling brave they can feel rejuvenated after taking a dip in the cool waterfall plunge pool. Wrap up the experience with a rinse off in the outdoor rain shower. The indulge massage and hot tub soak is $150 Cdn per person.

Guided Wilderness and Wildlife Day Trip – Led by Nimmo Bay Wilderness Resort’s owner and guide Fraser Murray, or his highly trained staff, these wilderness and wildlife adventures are tailor-made, memorable journeys through the Broughton Archipelago. The Resort’s guides have extensive experience exploring the area and will share local lore and hidden niches in this incredible terrain. Choose from the resort’s many day trips including bear watching, whale watching, cultural tours, kayak tours, trail hikes and saltwater fishing. The day begins at 9:30 a.m. at the lodge to gear up and prepare for the adventure. Guests will be provided with one of the resort’s famous, gourmet picnic lunches laid out on a clothed table in a spectacular location – on a white sand beach, next to a pristine lake or beneath a towering old growth forest. The feast may include homemade sandwiches with fresh baked bread, hot soups, spiced nuts, and local cheeses while sipping local wines and beers, or coffee, tea, pop or juice. Guests will return to the resort in the late afternoon. A wilderness and wildlife day trip with gourmet picnic lunch is $400 Cdn per person.

Helicopter Wilderness and Wildlife Day Trip – Nimmo Bay Wilderness Resort is known for its helicopter adventures – experience the West Coast of BC from a new vantage point: a bird’s eye view. These tailor-made adventures take guests soaring from sea level to 7,000 feet; from lush river valleys, over the coastal mountains, to the tops of vast glaciers. Choose from the resort’s many helicopter adventures including freshwater heli-fishing; waterfall tours; glacier visits; heli-hiking in old growth forests; and wild, untouched beach visits. The day begins at 9:30 a.m. at the lodge to gear up and prepare for the adventure. Guests will be provided with one of the resort’s famous, gourmet picnic lunches laid out on a clothed table in a spectacular location – atop a glacier, on a West Coast beach or next to a pristine lake. The feast may include homemade sandwiches with fresh baked bread, hot soups, spiced nuts, and local cheeses while sipping local wines and beers, or coffee, tea, pop or juice. Guests will return to the resort in the late afternoon. A helicopter wilderness and wildlife day trip with gourmet picnic lunch is $4,495 Cdn for one or two people and $7,495 Cdn for a group of three to six people.

 

Safe anchorage in Nimmo Bay or just outside in Mackenzie Sound is $1 Cdn per foot and this includes clean, filtered water.
