Ever dream of sharing a kitchen with a Grand Chef Relais & Chateaux? Well now you can. Enjoy a private cooking lesson for eight, plus dinner with Executive Chef Dale MacKay of our sister restaurant Lumière. Share inspiration and a professional kitchen with one of the best chefs in the world.
Dale invites you to rendezvous with him in the Lumière kitchen at 4:30 pm on Tuesday, June 28th.
Lumière is closed Tuesdays for private parties, so you and seven others will have the kitchen, and Dale all to yourselves.
After the class, sit down with Dale in the Private Dining room and share the evening and the delicious meal you made together.
Sommelier Kevin Van Hullebush will arrange gorgeous wines to pair, beginning of course with our much-loved Cremant d’Alsace.
Learn what inspires a market-fresh meal and how a seasonal menu comes together. Classes are very hands-on and participants will learn techniques they can easily master and use at home. Cooking classes sell out very quickly, so be sure to reserve a spot early and avoid disappointment. If this date sells out and future dates are not yet posted, please send an email request to be wait-listed or advised of upcoming alternate dates.
Dale plans a sophisticated yet simple menu, perfect for entertaining at home and using readily accessible west coast ingredients. The three-course menu will be published closer to the date. Detailed take-home recipes will be provided.
Space is extremely limited
(no more than 8 guests in the kitchen) so be sure to book your seat today. The cost to attend and for dinner is a modest $165 per person for the cooking lesson, and a three course dinner with wines paired by Sommelier Kevin Van Hullebush. Tax and gratuity not included.

“I am not a Chef, barely even a cook to be honest, but I attended the cooking class at the insistence of my wife. It ‘really’ was fabulous. I had so much fun and I learned how to prepare the dishes in spite of myself. The wine pairings were perfect and there was so much food. So, she was right … again” –– AVM
