Quince Studio Upcoming Cooking Classes… A Tribute to Beautiful, Bountiful BC

Hot Shots of the BC Coastal Scene

Wednesday April 6, 2011 6:00-9:00pm

Featuring 5 local stars of BC Sustainable Seafood: Seared Smoked Sablefish, Shaved Geoduck and a simple yet delicious dish of Manilla Clams and Indian Candied Salmon in fresh fennel broth. Can’t forget about those much touted Spot Prawns which are always beautiful when deep fried with a crunchy coconut and panko coating. Expect “minerally” white wines to match.

Hot Wine Spots of the Okanagan with Rasoul Salehi of LaStella and Le vieux Pin and Chef Andrea Jefferson  Tuesday May 3, 2011 6:00-9:00pm 

Wines from LaStella and Le Vieux Pin join Quince for a hands-on 3 course winemaker’s dinner. We’ll be featuring six great wines: LaStella Leggiero, Le Vieux Pin Viognier/Roussanne, Le vieux pin Pinot Noir “Adieu”, Le Vieux Pin Syrah, LaStella Fortissimo, LaStella Moscato d’Osoyoos. We’re uber excited to have the charming host Rasoul Salehi from the sister wineries here to pour and expand upon the wines.  There’ll be great food and wine, recipes and the mystery of the pairings revealed.

Artisan Pasta Making Thursday March 17, 2011, 6:00-9:00pm

Learn the art of pasta making in this hands on class. Start with  simplest of ingredients – “00” italian flour, add an egg and create umpteen versions of pasta!  

The Quince Essential Knife Class Tuesday April 12, 2011, 6:00-9:00pm

 Sharpen and broaden your repertoire of culinary skills with this essential hands on workshop.
