For the first time in Victoria, the Oak Bay Beach Hotel and the Victoria Film Festival bring an indulgent new taste to film. From June 7th to the 9th, the Foodie Film Festival will treat audiences to local food and refined refreshments accompanying five delectable documentaries.

From Aussie wine supremacy to mussels to sushi, the Victoria Film Festival has found films that traverse the globe in search of deliciousness. Add to that the Oak Bay Beach Hotel’s chef, Iain Rennie who will match these fine films up with some great demonstrations, drinks and food.

Friday, June 7 ~ 5:30pm ~

Jiro Dreams of Sushi – Follow the story of an 85-year-old sushi master and owner of Sukiyabashi Jiro, a Michelin three-star restaurant, found in a Tokyo subway station. Partake in a sushi demo and tasting paired with a sprightly sake.

A Year in Burgundy – Follow seven wine-making families in the Burgundy region of France through the course of a full year and delve into the cultural and creative process of making wine. Enjoy a sommelier guided tour of bold, beautiful burgundies and cheeses.
