MEET OUR BC FOOD & BEVERAGE AWARDS FINALISTS – CAST YOUR VOTE FOR THE WINNERS!
I recently judged the BC Food & Beverage Product of the Year and the competition was tough! Now’s your chance to give your input for the rest of the categories.
BC Food and Beverage is delighted to introduce the finalists for the BC Food & Beverage Awards with voting open until September 19th at BCFBAwards.com for the public to select the 2023 winners in each category!
Hosted by BC Food and Beverage (BCFB), the 16th annual BC Food and Beverage Awards celebrates the leaders and rising stars of BC’s food and beverage processing sector in twelve different categories. Almost 300 nominations were received in August 2023 resulting in three finalists in each category. All winners as selected by the public will be announced at the BC Food & Beverage Awards event on October 11th at Rocky Mountaineer Station, Vancouver, BC.
The winner of the coveted Product of the Year Award will be selected on September 13th from ten shortlisted finalists by a judging panel and also announced at the BC Food & Beverage Awards event.
This year’s product finalists reflect the growing trends and innovation in BC’s food and beverage processing sector, and many are produced with the health of consumers and the environment top of mind. The finalists in the leadership categories are recognized as some of the hardest working, most innovative individuals who have made noteworthy impacts in the sector and their businesses, as well as among their teams.
“Food and beverage manufacturing is a high-value sector in BC. In fact, it’s the second-largest processing sector in BC with 3,100 businesses employing over 40,000 people and contributing $12.6 million in sales in 2021. We are absolutely thrilled to recognize and celebrate the leaders and rising stars of BC’s food and beverage processing sector each year. Their contributions to BC’s economy, labour market, food security, innovation, and availability of an outstanding array of delicious products are remarkable and so worthy of acknowledgment and celebration,” says James Donaldson, BC Food and Beverage CEO.
