BC Wine Association Features Wild Goose

Christmas with Wild Goose

Started in Okanagan Falls as a “retirement project” in 1983 by the Kruger family, Wild Goose Vineyards is one of the oldest – and most-awarded – wineries in the Okanagan.

Wild Goose was voted 2009 Winery of the Year by Wine Press Northwest, out of a field of over 1400 wineries – truly an honour. Other recent awards include: the Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Excellence in British Columbia Wines for the 2008 Pinot Gris, the only “Winery of Distinction” award from the Northwest Wine Summit wine competition held in Oregon, three golds from the Okanagan Wine Festival competition for their Riesling, Pinot Blanc, and Autumn Gold – and that’s just this year!

This December 3rd, Roland Kruger will be visiting the BCWAS for our annual Holiday Event. This will be a fun, friendly, walk-about event, where you will have the chance to visit with your fellow BC wine lovers, taste some great wine, enjoy some yummy food, and get a chance to talk to Roland. The chefs at the Listel are providing a great selection of appies for us. Wines poured will include:

2008 Pinot Gris
2008 Gewurztraminer
2008 Riesling
2008 Autumn Gold
2008 Mystic River Pinot Gris
2008 Mystic River Gewurztraminer
2008 Mystic River Pinot Blanc
2007 Pinot Noir
2007 Merlot
2008 Black Brant

And … we’ve managed to make this event cheaper than last year!
