Who says BC can’t make good red wines? We challenge naysayers to attend our Big Reds event on Wednesday October 21, and find out for yourselves what world-class red wines we make here in BC. Prepare to be proved wrong!
For all you fans of BC wines, here is another wonderful opportunity to taste some of the best, many of which are still available. Of the ones that aren’t, new vintages will be out this year! Make a list of your favourites, and get yourselves on the wineries’ mailing lists so you don’t miss out. There are almost 200 wineries in BC now – how many have you been to?
As a special treat this year, John Schreiner, author of The Wineries of British Columbia, will be our guest speaker. John started out writing about business for the Financial Post, but switched his focus to wine. His first wine book was in 1984, and he’s written several more since then. As well as writing about wine, John has served as a judge on international tasting panels, and is Chair of the Selection Committee for the Playhouse International Wine Festival. John will also have copies of his latest book for sale, or if you already have one, bring it in and get it autographed!
