Under the auspices of the legendary Bearfoot Bistro, founder André Saint-Jacques announces the creation of a new, high-end catering service that aims to bring the Bearfoot Bistro experience into your home. Just in time for the 2010 Winter Olympics landing at North America’s top ski resort come February, Bearfoot Bistro prepares to host not only the world, but also exclusive, unique, and custom private events.

Renowned for the modern haute cuisine of Executive Chef Melissa Craig, crowned “Canada’s best chef” at the 2008 Canadian Culinary Championships, Bearfoot Bistro Catering combines the convivial flare of André Saint-Jacques with the culinary expertise of Melissa Craig. For the most exclusive private parties, incentive dinners, or high point to any corporate event, share in Mr. Saint-Jacques’ passion for celebration, champagne sabering, or famous Masquerave parties, and celebrate in Bearfoot Bistro style.

After several cooking sojourns on an international scale, Chef Craig has catered private residence events in Hong Kong and in St. Maarten, a high-profile restaurant opening in Beijing with Canada’s Gold Medal Plates. Nationally, Craig has cooked at the National Arts Center for BC Scene held in Ottawa and at Quebec City’s 400-year Anniversary celebrations with Le Saint Amour. Most recently, Craig catered the “Bearfoot in the Vineyard” Harvest Dinner at Black Hills Estate Winery in Oliver, BC as part of the Okanagan Wine Festival.

From canapes of delicate quail egg sprinkled with Russian caviar or a luscious cube of Wagyu beef from Japan, to a full sit-down five course dinner served by a professional front-of-house crew, Bearfoot Bistro recreates an unforgettable dining experience with private chefs, sommeliers and award-winning bartenders in private home fine dining, receptions, weddings, or corporate events.
