Benefit for Jennifer Thomson at Darby’s Pub

on

From the Georgia Straight….Vancouver radio personality Jennifer Thomson has had better years. The cohost of the Jenn and Joe show on TALK 1410 was laid off from her job the same week the sale went through on her new townhouse. To make matters worse, she was then diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer. With Thomson always an on-air friend to standup comedians, the comedy community is giving back by way of a benefit on Tuesday (November 24) at Darby’s Pub in Kits, with 100 percent of the proceeds going directly to Thomson. Shows are at 8 and 10 p.m. and feature Patrick Maliha, Mike Wolfe, Greg Kettner, Sean Proudlove, Dr. Russ Kennedy, Marke Driesschen, and Art Factora.

FROM PATRICK MAHILA
– Due to strong pre-ticket sales and incredible support, a second show has been added. Shows are now 8:00 pm and 10:00pm. Doors open at 7:15 for the 8:00pm and 9:30/9:45 for the late show (10:00pm)

– You can still purchase tickets in advance via Paypal. Looks like the shows are going to sell-out so if you wish to guarantee a ticket, please purchase them in advance. All the info is on the event page.

– This Monday you can catch myself and Jennifer on Urban Rush promoting the event! Catch us on Shaw Cable 4 at 5pm, 7pm, 11pm, 1am and repeating Tuesday at noon. I don’t think that show get’s enough play

– HUGE thanks to Guy MacPherson from The Georgia Straight for listing the event in the Arts Choices section http://www.straight.com/article-270793/vancouver/benefit-jennifer-thomson

Hope to see you all there on Tuesday Nov. 24th at either the 8:00 or 10:00 show. We’ll have some great door prizes and at least one or two pretty cool surprises that you most definitely will want to be in attendance for 😉

Thank you,
