Spring Festival: The Best of BC Wines Uncorked is a semi-annual wine tasting event that showcases new and current releases from top BC wineries and raises funds for the Port Moody Arts Centre. The event is being held at the Port Moody City Hall Galleria on Saturday, May 26th, 2012 from 7:00pm to 9:30pm.  Each season this event grows larger and we are pleased to be featuring over thirty-five of the best BC wineries at this upcoming tasting.

This season one lucky guest will win a VIP package including dinner for two before the tasting at Onyx Steakhouse & Lounge in Port Moody, two entry tickets to the wine tasting, a gift set of four professional Riedel wine tasting glasses to use at the event and take home, and a prize bag courtesy of our sponsors.

Local BC wine expert, John Gerum, remarks, “Legislation will likely be passed to permit BC wineries to sell wines to other provinces in Canada. This will be a great opportunity for BC to gain exposure across the country, however may reduce the number of quality wines available to consumers in BC. Come out for the Best of BC Wines Uncorked and enjoy an evening sampling new spring wine releases before the legislation is passed and other provinces in Canada are able to purchase BC wine.  Not only will people be able to discover their favourites but they’ll be able stock their cellars before they are sold out. We know that that everyone is still thinking about how to spend their hard earned money. So, we’re committed to offering incredible value for your $45.00inclusive per person ticket price (price includes a $2.50 box office fee and 12% HST).

Event General Details
Join us for this exciting event on Saturday, May 26th from 7:00pm to 9:30pm. Your ticket price includes free parking, access to the event at the Port Moody City Hall Galleria, samples of all available wines, light snacks (please note that we do recommend eating prior to the event), and live background music. Taxis will be on-site at the end of the event to ensure a safe ride home for guests that wish to use them.

Legal & Important Stuff
Guests must be 19 years or older to attend this event, no minors will be permitted into the venue. To ensure you are able to enjoy your evening, please arrange for a designated driver or alternate transportation as we encourage the responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages. Servings of wine will be up to two ounces per glass. Maximum legal consumption is two ounces per hour.

Guests are encouraged to enjoy the array of available samples by swirling, sniffing, sipping and spitting.

To enhance the enjoyment of this evening for yourself and all guests, please refrain from wearing leather, perfume, cologne, or strong soaps.
