We’ve over half way in to January and time is flying by. Dine with Douce Diner for an evening of East Coast Vegan cuisine by Halifax’s very own Lauren Marshall, the owner and head chef of Real Fake Meats. Lauren has handcrafted a five-course meal for you alongside sous-chef Gwen Forestall and Douce Diner’s, Dawn Doucette.

Fried chicken fans, rejoice! DL Chicken Shack (905 Commercial Drive) is now officially open on Mondays. Click here for more on that. Doug Stephen and Lindsey Mann are launching a new retail shop, which doubles as a prep location – allowing people to enjoy Nashville hot chicken seven days a week. In celebration, several exclusive flavours will drop only on Mondays including the popular Cool Ranch.
Dinner at Bauhaus Winter Tasting Menu Until February 2nd
One of the best things to do in Vancouver this week is the three courses for $49 at Bauhaus with the option of additional wine pairings. Try the Beetroot Carpaccio, Pumpkin Risotto and the Honey Cake!
Afternoon tea at Honey Salt Until February 16
The team at Honey Salt has created a limited-edition afternoon tea service in honour of the New Year festivities. Classic scones and bite-sized sandwiches are the perfect pairing to the selection of Lunar New Year-inspired treats, including colourful dragon fruit tarts and house-made matcha macarons.
The high tea will be available on weekends from January 18th to February 16th, and costs $32-$42 depending on selection, plus taxes and fees.
Lotus Whiskey Tea Lounge Seasonal Cocktail: Red Lotus Until February 13th
On the third floor of the Parq Resort, the masterminds at Lotus Whiskey Tea Lounge have created a lucky cocktail beautiful enough to play a starring role in your Instagram photos. The Red Lotus is anchored by glenlivet and deep red pomegranate juice, picture-perfectly topped off with star anise and gold flakes. This signature cocktail is only available until February 13th.
