Still not sure where to eat for Mother’s Day? We had lunch this week at Blackbird Bar and had a look at their Mother’s Day menu and you and your mother will sure to be happy here this Sunday.
Start with fresh shucked oysters, the tempura albacore tuna and then perhaps an omelette, eggs benny or the leg of lamb or beef roast with all the fixings.
And sipping coffee or tea may be fine, but we prefer Trevor Kallies’ nod to weekend cartons, “One to Grow on” – a cocktail made from Golden Grahams infused Absolut Elyx vodka, egg white, egg yolk, Pale Ale, Averna Amaro, simple syrup served in a mini milk bottle with striped paper straw.
