The Canadian National BBQ Championships, taking place at Dusty’s Bar & BBQ in Whistler Creekside, is the highlight of the Pacific Northwest’s competitive BBQ circuit and a tantalizing weekend of tasting and sampling. Watch master grillers at work as they compete to be Grand Champion.

Friday, July 30th

BBQ Demonstrations
BBQ JUDGING CLASS: Become a Certified BBQ Judge – 4 pm
Open to the public. (must pre-register, space is limited)

WHOLE HOG BBQ DEMONSTRATION – 7 to 8 pm
With BBQ Champion Jim Ericson. Learn the 24 hour process of cooking a whole hog. Demo is FREE, dinner is $15.

Saturday, July 31st

With Jim Ericson. Reserve your dinner by attending Jim’s whole hog demo on Friday. Our famous Hog Feed – a Slow Smoked Whole Hog BBQ’d for 24 hours and served up with fresh BBQ vittles – baked beans, corn on the cob, coleslaw, tossed greens, and our famous buns and butt rub mayo! – It all starts at 7pm

THE CANADIAN BBQ CHAMPIONSHIPS
Cooks from all over North America will be competing for the honour of “Canadian Champion 2010” with $5000 in cash and prizes, and an invitation to the World Championships in Lynchburg. A great day to come on down and see the pros in action and sample some of the best BBQ you will ever eat.
