Chop Steakhouse & Bar Steak Overload!
Chop Steakhouse & Bar’s Executive Chef, Stephen Clark, has collaborated with his old friend, Chef Alex Chen, to bring a delicious, limited-time menu across Canada as part of the Steak Masters – In Pursuit of Perfection tour at Chop Steakhouse & Bar. We just had to try this meat festival and Tess and I ventured out with our hearty appetites in tow. Thanks to Lyft we can now dine a little further out!
Chef Stephen and Chef Alex teamed up to develop this new menu featuring four new items: Steak Tartare, a shareable Tomahawk “au poivre,” a flavourful Sirloin Cap Picanha with chimichurri and Brazilian spices, and a Pineapple Upside-Down cake for dessert.
We started with some tasty escargot filled mushrooms and a Caesar salad, because we had to had some vegetables and then came the insanely huge Tomahawk and Sirloin Cap. All the beef is 100% Canadian beef, seasoned with Chop Steakhouse & Bar’s custom spice blend, grilled in a state-of-the-art Montague, rested, dipped in garlic butter and herbs and finished with sea salt, black pepper and chives. We’d go a little less heavy on the salt, but otherwise this process seems to produce a delicious example of top-tiered steak.
We barely made a dent in our dinner, packing it to go so we’d have some room for the pineapple cake!
