Yes There Is a Santa Claus At Christmas In November
This week I saw the eggnog hit the shelf, and that’s just way too soon, but it’s never too soon to plan a trip to the Jasper Park Lodge for the annual celebration “Christmas In November”. I attended last year as the Gastropost representative for Vancouver and I’m planning on attending this year as well. In fact, it was one of the highlights of my year! I love Christmas and this festival of food, wine, cocktails and craft launches you not only in the spirit for the holiday season, but also prepares you to be a superb host.
Read more details of my classes last year HERE.
The celebration is three full days packed with cooking classes, cocktail seminars, holiday decor crafting, and decadent meals, all in the mountain setting of Jasper in first class accommodation. This year’s headliner is Chef Chuck Hughes, but Vikram Vij is sure to steal all the attention with his great stories and recipe tips. Chef Ned Bell will school you on sustainable seafood, Chefs Anna and Mike Olson will demo dishes that will ensure you can get out of the kitchen to enjoy yourself while still serving up fare that will impress your guests, and Connie Desousa and John Jackson are bound to be dishing up something meaty. Take a cocktail class with Micah Dew, go to BC Wine School with Charton Hobbs, and learn home décor with Cory Christopher, all at the fantastic of the Jasper Park Lodge.
The packages include three Nights Accommodation – Arrival Gift & Full Colour Program – Silly Christmas Sweater Reception – Breakfasts, Lunches & Dinners Prepared by the Fairmont Culinary Team – Gala Dinner & Dancing – Reception & Dinner Beverages – Interactive Classes, Seminars, Tasting Workshops – Farewell Brunch – Take Home Cookbooks from Select Presenters and more!
