Clearly’s Initiatives for Clearer Vision
We partnered with Clearly to spread the news about two programs that assist the community with the costs of vision care, and to let you know their stores have measures in place to ensure physical distancing. Each store has health screenings and sanitization of frames after a person touches or tries them on. After choosing my frames online, I headed to the Robson store near Burrard to test out the shopping experience and to double check my frames suited me, and felt very safe shopping there.
I choose the Maverick frames and added the blue light protection, something I hadn’t heard about previously, which protects your eyes from screen time.
Clearly is a Vancouver-based eyewear company and their latest mission is a Free Glasses for Kids Program, providing free glasses for children ten and younger who visit a Clearly store. The company has also implemented a Buy One, Give One program. For every pair of glasses purchased, Clearly donates a pair to someone in need. Clearly impacts forty-two countries around the world and donate more than 470,000 pairs of glasses to people in need in their mission to eradicate poor vision. Read more info about the program here.
The “Free Glasses for Kids” program launched in October, and to access this generous program, parents can bring their child’s recent valid prescription and health card into a Clearly store and pick out a free pair of kid’s glasses with the option to also book an optometrist appointment through their online booking tool.
With nearly 25% of Canadian children experiencing vision issues, which can lead to learning at a slower rate, developing a negative self-image, and experiencing frustration with learning, Clearly has stepped up to help solve this problem. Retail associates are also fully trained to comply with COVID-19 regulations while also making sure children can have a fun and stress-free experience during their exam and when choosing their new glasses. See more info about the program here.
