From Nancy Wong “Chef Connor Butler has sold his restaurant. Some of you may recall my telling you back in April/May that the landlord had given notice of a substantial rent increase. Even in this recession, Restaurant Connor Butler had managed to hold its own. However, Chef Connor was not sure how the increased overhead would affect his ability to stay in business.”
A sad farewell to one of my favourite places to stop in. I suppose we all should have stopped in more often.
Chef Connor is up to some new tricks. Report on that soon.
Please do keep us posted on Chef Connor’s activities — we were planning a trip from Seattle to visit in November and now we’re stunned (and floundering for new plans). The restaurant was great, but it was great because of Connor and Ron!
