Vista D’Oro Sells Cookies for Kids With Proceeds To BC Children’s Hospital
Our friends at Vista D’Oro, Lee and Patrick Murphy have been busy baking cookies and organizing other bakers for their 14th annual Cookies For Kids Fundraiser for BC Children’s Hospital The tins can be preordered and will be ready for pickup beginning December 14th for a minimum donation of $50.00 – with 100% of all funds going directly to the hospital. All the baking, gathering and packaging goes on early December with delicious donations from some of the lower mainland’s finest restaurants and bakeries, including…Terra Breads, Krause Berry Farms, Forage Restaurant, Les Amis du Fromage, Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts, The Original Cakerie, Chef Wendy Boys and from our Vista D’or’s own kitchen in the Preservatory – all beautifully packaged into wonderful holiday gift tins.
Each Cookies For Kids cookie tin contains the bakers generous contributions and a 220g jar of The Preservatory preserves. The tins and bows have once again been sponsored this year! The Cookie Tins are sold for a minimum $50 donation, 100% of which will go directly to B.C. Children’s Hospital. We’ve raised OVER $100,000 over the last 13 years with your support!
This time of year we need to be so thankful for our healthy kids while remembering how many children and their families spend the holidays in hospital rooms. We sincerely hope you will join us in our endeavour to make Christmas a little sweeter for everyone while honouring the memory of our Teresas’; Patrick’s sister and my cousin, both whom lost their battles far too young.

Also a note for those in the area (Langley), their Farmgate Shop & Tasting Room will be open Thursday to Sunday from 11am until 5pm and will be open until Sunday December 22nd this year.
