CURE MARCH MELANCHOLY WITH CULINARY CARIBBEAN ADVENTURE

March is such a dreary month. By then, we’ve had more than our fill of grey days and too much rain. It can dampen the spirits of the best of us. Provence Restaurants’ Alessandra and Jean-Francis Quaglia think they have come up with the perfect antidote for March melancholy – join them on a seven-day Culinary Caribbean Adventure aboard the MS Eurodam. Departing from Fort Lauderdale on March 17th, 2012; the Quaglia’s tour of the eastern Caribbean includes the sunny ports of call Grand Turk Island, San Juan Puerto Rico, St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands and Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas before returning to Fort Lauderdale on March 24th.

In addition to sun, Caribbean ports and beautiful staterooms; those joining Alessandra and Jean-Francis will participate in a private cooking demonstration hosted by them in the Eurodam’s state-of-the-art Culinary Arts Center. Guests will also be treated to a premium wine tasting along with receiving a special $25 U.S. beverage card per stateroom.

Jean-Francis and Alessandra are in the midst of planning other special activities for their guests. For instance many know that Alessandra, in addition to being a chef, is a passionate salsa dancer. Through her connections in the Latin dance world she is trying to arrange a special private salsa lesson for everyone in San Juan. Perhaps a tour of the food markets in the ports of call? The ideas are flowing fast and furious. Regardless of the activities they create; one thing Alessandra and Jean-Francis can guarantee is that participants will have a very fun time. Prices start as low as $819 for the full cruise (exclusive of airfare). For more information or to book, visit www.provencevancouver.com/cruise and follow the links to Expedia CruiseShipCentres.

Starting mid-September, patrons of both Provence locations will have the opportunity to win a cruise for two. Both locations will be handing out Provence Passport to Win entry ballots. Every time you dine at Provence, your passport will be stamped. Collect five stamps and submit your passport to be entered in the draw to win the cruise for two. The more times you dine the better your chances of winning. Contest closes December 31st, 2011 and all ballots must be received prior to January 15th, 2012. The draw will take place on January 20th. Two months later the winners are on board the MS Eurodam with Jean-Francis and Alessandra. For full details on the Provence Passport to Win contest click on www.provencevancouver.com/cruise

Good food, great company, fun in the sun – it’s a very French prescription for overcoming March melancholy. A votre santé!
