Whether you’re looking for an sophisticated option for the traditional Christmas dinner or hoping to add a festive dinner after Boxing Day shopping, Diva at the Met’s Chef Hamid Salimian has created holiday menu options that are sure to bring joy to your seasonal festivities.

To start off the celebratory period, the restaurant is offering a four-course menu on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, designed to satisfy both those looking for both traditional dishes as well as more contemporary celebratory options. Offered at $70 per person (excluding beverages, taxes and gratuity), the menu offers three or four choices per course, and features dishes such as:

  • Spiced Poached Pear Salad, pecorino, salted candied almonds, endive
  • Albacore Tuna & Dungeness Crab Cannelloni, compressed cucumber, yuzu crisp, avocado
  • Miles Honey Glazed Turkey Breast, slow cooked leg, chestnut puree, red wine cabbage & natural jus
  • Northern Ling Cod, black pepper gnocchi, spot prawn ragout, tomato fondue
  • Warm Chocolate Soufflé, Valrhona chocolate sauce, pistachio ice cream

On Boxing Day, Diva will offer a three-course variation of the same menu, priced at $58 per person (excluding beverages, taxes and gratuity).

New Year’s Eve presents two options for Diva diners: an early four-course set menu for $70 per person with seatings between 5:00 pm and 6:30 pm; and an indulgent seven-course menu for $135 per person with seatings starting at 8pm and live entertainment to bring in the New Year. The seven-course menu seamlessly integrates Diva’s history of sourcing the best local ingredients, with Chef Salimian’s passion for modernist culinary techniques. Examples of dishes include the “Garden of Oysters” that are served with compressed cucumber, seaweed and citrus; and puffed foie gras with green walnut molasses and pickled strawberry.

Bookings for all dinners can be made by calling the restaurant at 604-602-7788 or online at www.divamet.com.

This year marks Diva at the Met’s 15th anniversary. In recognition of the occasion and the restaurant’s influential role in Vancouver’s culinary progression, the Div[a]ine Evolution event was held on March 10, 2011, bringing back all of the restaurant’s former executive chefs for a dinner to celebrate Diva at the Met’s culinary journey, and the impact Diva has had on the city’s dining scene through mentoring a generation of young chefs.
