Game and Wild Mushroom Festival

GAME ON, FIVE YEARS STRONG
Andrey Durbach featuring Forest Fare from October 12th to 21st 

For ten days in October, diners at cozy neighbourhood rooms Pied-à-Terre, La Buca and Cafeteria will have the opportunity to experience the earthy flavours of forest fare. Running from October 12th to 21st, Andrey Durbach’s fifth annual Game and Wild Mushroom Festival will give guests the chance to taste their way through seasonal, woodland themed menus highlighting freshly plucked wild mushrooms, hearty cuts of rarely featured game and the rich reductions that Durbach is known for.

Over on Main Street, comfort food focused Cafeteria will be featuring dishes such as Carpaccio of Scallops and Japanese Mushrooms finished with Ponzu Dressing; Wild Mushroom, Spinach and Taleggio Lasagne; and Venison Ravioli drizzled with Sage Butter. Intense flavours will take centre-stage on Durbach’s Italian menu at La Buca with items such as Lemon-Pepper Pappardelle served with slow cooked Rabbit Ragu; Roast Fillet of Venison finished with Chestnuts, Chianti, Roasted Porcinis and Handmade Tortellini; and Mushroom dusted Ling Cod served with Onion and Sage Puree and Truffled Lemon Butter. Fans of Durbach’s French focused cuisine at Pied-à-Terre will have a chance to sample dishes such as House Cured Arctic Char served with Pickled Chanterelles; Roast Fillet and Civet of Red Deer served alongside a Pine Mushroom Pommes Dauphine; Breast of Guinea Hen served with Roasted Cèpes, Potato Gnocchi, Chestnuts and Bacon, finished with Aged Sherry Vinegar and Buttered Cabbage.
