The top 11 chefs from regions around Canada have been selected to compete in the final Gold Medal Plates Championships. During the Gold Medal Plates project over 100+ competing chefs create their ultimate dish and pair it with a premier Canadian wine, spirit or beer.
This is step one in the final competition.

6:00 pm – Delta Grand Okanagan, Kelowna Chefs create a dish that they think perfectly matches a mystery wine. Chefs have Thursday night and Friday to consider and prepare the dish. When shopping for ingredients for this dish, chefs must only spend the sum of money given to them the previous night. Guests enjoy the mystery wine and all of the different dishes prepared by the competing chefs.
