Chef Sarah Stewart Teaches Tacos for Growing Chefs

It’s Giving Tuesday next week, a global movement for giving and volunteering, taking place each year after Black Friday. The “opening day of the giving season,” it’s a time when charities, companies, and individuals join and rally for their favourite causes. We’ve been cooking along with Growing Chefs through their Farms to Fork Fundraiser and they did such a great job of executing each and every event, that we highly recommend this upcoming one on December 1st. Give back, learn to cook a new taco recipe, enjoy a meal and some beer, what could be better!

Take this virtual cooking experience with professional chef Sarah Stewart of Brass Fish Tavern & Kitchen. Pick up your ingredients and prepare your ‘Taco Tuesday’ tacos at home in real-time with the chef, who will join from her home or restaurant kitchen.  House of Knives will provide a knife demonstration, and a member of our Growing Chefs team will facilitate guest questions in real-time.

Chef Sarah is passionate about building community through cooking, and has done so in fine dining kitchens, pubs, remote wilderness camps, and within social services. Also, a Growing Chefs classroom volunteer, she is committed to seasonal, local ingredients and traditional (and sometimes forgotten) techniques. Chef Sarah is fun, funny, knowledgeable, and dynamic, and will have all of us smiling ear to ear as we join her from our own kitchen at home.

TICKETS*: $60 per person or $95 per couple, and includes:

  • Fresh, locally sourced ingredients to prepare two tacos from per person
  • 6-pack of locally brewed beer

  • $25 charitable tax receipt
