Had a Glass: Top wine values under $20 for 2012 available for iPhone and iPod

The bestselling Had a Glass series returns for its 6th edition, once again giving readers the straight wine goods. In a veritable sea of vinous choice, Had a Glass points wine enthusiasts in the right direction and makes sure they surface with a good bottle.

And it won’t cost big money: each of the 100 wines checks in at under $20.

Every wine is here for a reason: because it’s perfect with a steak, goes great with a picnic, or simply makes a superb stand-alone sipper. The wines come from a whole host of countries and are a mix of grape varieties. There are reds and whites, dessert wines and bone dry fortifieds—and of course sparkling. It’s true wine diversity!

Continuing its quest to provide innovative, accessible information on wine, for 2012 Had a Glass goes smartphone-savvy. The Had a Glass “app”—available for download through the iTunes App Store (http://is.gd/mhcKjo)—features all the essential wine information of the print version* in a handy, mobile form, including:

I would like to know where I can purchase a paperback copy of the 2012 edition that Randene Neil held up when James Nevison was interviewed by her and Sqire Barnes on Global News the other night. I checked Indigo, but it only shows up to 2010 edition as being available.

Anita – Where are you based out of? I find Barbara Jo’s Books to Cooks has the latest cookbooks and wine books. Plus you are supporting small business.

I am located in North Vancouver. Is there any location closer? I see previous editions were published just a few blocks away from where I live. I am on chemotherapy and if I could find this book on the North Shore, it sure would make life easier.

Call everything wine, they should have it. I will also ask the author.
