New Hospitality Venture: Gaia House
Brothers Yianni and Petro Kerasiotis, the passionate duo behind some of Vancouver’s most popular neighbourhood restaurants, proudly introduce their new hospitality venture: Gaia House. This fresh brand unites their diverse family of Vancouver Greek Restaurants under one vibrant umbrella — from the newly opened Selene Aegean Bistro in Hastings-Sunrise, to beloved Greek mainstays Nammos Estiatorio in Fraserhood, the lively Loula’s Taverna on Commercial Drive, and the intimate Japanese-style speakeasy AMA.

What is Gaia House?
Gaia House Hospitality Group is more than just a brand. Named after Gaia, the ancient Greek goddess of the Earth, it symbolizes creation, nourishment, and the deep interconnectedness of family, culture, and hospitality.
“Our parents taught us the essence of Greek hospitality — philoxenia — which is about more than service. It’s about generosity, warmth, and making everyone feel like family,” shares Yianni Kerasiotis. “Now that we’ve opened several restaurants, it felt right to bring them all together under one name. Gaia is our way to keep growing in this industry while staying true to our roots.”

A Family of Restaurants
Under Gaia House, each restaurant maintains its own unique character, yet all share a commitment to memorable dining experiences, heartfelt hospitality, and a modern take on tradition.
-
Nammos Estiatorio: A cozy Fraserhood staple offering authentic Greek dishes in a warm, inviting setting.
-
Selene Aegean Bistro: The newest addition in Hastings-Sunrise, blending Aegean flavours with a contemporary touch.
-
Loula’s Taverna: A bustling spot on Commercial Drive known for vibrant Greek eats and a lively atmosphere.
-
AMA: A hidden Japanese-inspired speakeasy, perfect for intimate nights and inventive cocktails.
Designed with Meaning
Yianni and Petro collaborated with award-winning Vancouver design studio Glasfurd & Walker to shape the Gaia House brand. Creative director Phoebe Glasfurd says the inspiration was to reflect the rich cultural roots of each concept while introducing something fresh and unexpected.
The visual identity includes:
-
A custom wordmark inspired by traditional Greek signage, nodding to their heritage.
-
Illustrations woven into a tapestry that captures the stories, symbols, and emotions tied to each unique venue.
Looking Ahead
“Gaia House is the culmination of everything we’ve worked for. It’s a foundation to keep building from, staying connected to where we came from,” adds Petro. “It also gives us the freedom to dream bigger — we already have exciting new projects in the works.”
