INTRODUCING THE “PRINCESS PACKAGE A ROYAL WEDDING EXPERIENCE

Designed for Mothers and Daughters

In celebration of the Royal Wedding, Shangri-La Hotel, Vancouver is unveiling a package designed with mothers and daughters in mind.  “The Princess Package – A Royal Wedding Experience” is available for one night only – April 28th and through the morning of April 29th, Royal Wedding Day.

Check-in to Shangri-La Hotel, Vancouver at your leisure on Thursday, April 28th – the eve of the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Miss Kate Middleton.  Waiting on the pillow, a small tiara to wear and share.  The rest of the day is yours to explore the hotel and the surrounding neighbourhood.  Early to bed is recommended where you can sleep like a princess until you are awoken Friday at 2 a.m. PST (10 a.m. in London, England).  Then join an intimate group in the Library on the hotel’s 6th floor for tea and scones followed by a live screening of the Royal Wedding in the Blue Moon Theatre.  The early hours will be filled with pomp, pageantry and even pajamas, if you wish.

Once Prince William and his princess bride bid a fond farewell from the Royal balcony at Buckingham Palace and begin their happily-ever-after, the group will retire to the Lobby Lounge for High Tea, conversation and crumpets.  Then back to your room in Vancouver’s tallest tower for a few hours of sleep and a late check-out of 2 p.m.

Only 12 packages for two are available at CAD$355 + tax.  Additional nights can be purchased at CAD$259+.  “The Princess Package – A Royal Wedding Experience” includes one night’s accommodation, light breakfast at 2 a.m., High Tea, valet parking and the gift of a tiara.  To reserve, please call (604) 689-1120, toll-free 1-888-818-1120 or on-line at www.shangri-la.com/en/property/vancouver/shangrila

The hotel’s Lobby Lounge will also continue its tradition of Afternoon Tea, adding a Royal turn, with its own version of a chocolate biscuit mini cake, said to be a favourite of Prince William.  The Royal High Tea, available throughout the month of April, is a traditional three-tiered service, available seven days a week from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and priced at $36 per person, plus tax.
