Kate Booth House Fundraiser at Cobre

on

The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation is Canada’s largest public foundation dedicated exclusively to funding women’s shelters, violence prevention and education programs. On Monday November 9, from 6 to 9 p.m. it will host a fundraiser in support of Kate Booth House – a facility that provides a safe, secure residential environment in a confidential location for women and children fleeing family violence. Services include 24-hour crisis line as well as child support programs.

The event takes place at Gastown hotspot Cobre Nuevo Latino (52 Powell Street) – winner of two 2009 Best of the Americas awards (Vancouver Magazine Awards and Urban Diner Awards) as well as Best Latino (Georgia Straight Golden Plate Awards).

The ticket price of $40 (advance) or $50 (at the door) gets you beverages, passed appetizers created especially for the event by Cobre’s Executive Chef Stuart Irving and an opportunity to bid on some amazing prizes in the Silent Auction.

Advance tickets are available from Alison Price at Royal LePage City Centre, 604- 408-9311 (#204- 345 Robson Street) or Gale Liebert, 604-341-8824.

Royal LePage is the only Canadian real estate company to have its own charitable foundation. All of the administrative costs of the Foundation are underwritten so that 100% of every dollar donated goes directly to supporting its beneficiaries. Since 1999 the Foundation has contributed more than $9 million to help women and children across Canada. Through donating a portion of their commission on the purchase or sale of your property, Royal LePage’s agents are helping bring hope and provide shelter for those who need it most. The company’s brokers, agents and staff also provide volunteer time and in-kind goods, and hold special community events to help raise funds and awareness to end family violence for more than 30,000 women and children who take refuge in a shelter each year.

So mark Monday, November 9 on your calendar and come out from 6 – 9 p.m. to Cobre Nuevo Latino at 52 Powell Street and help support Kate Booth House. We promise you’ll have a great time while supporting an important community resource.
