KRAFTY kitchen + bar Ltd. is pleased to announce the official opening of Kelowna’s newest Upscale Casual dining experience.

The new Kelowna restaurant brings addictive flavours, upscale service and local design to the budding Kelowna restaurant scene.

“We are very excited to open our doors in the heart of the Okanagan farming community,” says Chris Shaften, chef and owner of KRAFTY kitchen + bar Ltd. “This amazing location is everything we aim to showcase from the Okanagan region, local on local on local”.

The food menu at KRAFTY Kelowna, designed by executive chef Shaften, celebrated Season 3 Top Chef Canada contestant, features the best fresh, local and sustainable ingredients – paying homage to the commitment to the Slow Food movement and Ocean Wise programs.

At KRAFTY kitchen, guests can enjoy Chef Shaften’s responsible Canadian dishes with French technique and a determined regional focus.

International Consultant, Sommelier and Bartender Philippe C Grandbois will lead the front of house team and menus. “The wine will be grape to glass, working with all our vineyards and suppliers closely from the region” says Phil, owner of justcocktails.org. “We will also have a fresh and dynamic cocktail program that will run seasonally with Chef’s menus”.

The restaurant offers 90 seats, including 40 seats on the spectacular patio. The space was designed and built by Wade Thomas and Wolverine Construction from Kelowna.

Kaila Klassen, one of the projects original Managers, has moved on to other projects and will not be involved in KRAFTY.

KRAFTY kitchen + bar brings together the fun and casual experience that Chris and Phil are known for in there private dining business. “We are going to bring our passion for entertaining dining and global restaurant experience to Canada’s premier farming and wine regions, and we welcome the pressure. “ says Phil.

Chef Shaften adds “We have an exciting line-up of chef collaborations in store for Kelowna, as well as, the private dining business”.
