New and Exciting Products

Wine

  •  Ogio Pinot Grigio – The cheap and cheerful definitely punches above it’s price category.  Crisp, dry wiht fresh lemon and lime flavours together with a delicious hint of orange blossom.  Best served with fish, chicken or salad dishes.
  • Meerlust Rubicon – This wine, classic in style was grown and produced on the historic Meerlust Estate which has been owned by the Myburgh family for eight generations.  One of the oldest wineries from South Africa.  It will benefit from further ageing.
  • Sperling Vineyards Sper..itz – A refreshing one syllable wine with a light spritz…from Sperling Vineyards.  Their heritage planting of aromatic grapes is gently vinified to produce a wine of naturally lower alcohol, elegance and finesse.  Enjoy with brunch or after dinner!

Beer

  • Les Trois Mousquetaires Maibock – This Maibock is a strong blond lager with an aroma of fresh cereals and herbal hops.  Its flavour profile develops firm notes of alcohol, a touch of sweetness and a mildly bitter finish.
  • Les Trois Mousquetaires Porter Baltique – This extra-strong black lager has an aroma of chocolate and alcohol.  Luxuriously round, its flavours span from those of mochaccino, to nuts and toffee with a hint of cherry wood smoked malt.  A mild bitterness wraps up every sip.
  • Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier Dunkel – A yeasty, wheaty dark beer, from the oldest brewery in the world.  On the steps of the brewery door, the German Purity Law was born.

Spirits

  • Blanton’s Single Barrel Bourbon Special Reserve – This Bourbon whiskey was dumped on May 5, 2010 from Barrel No. 151.  It was stored in warehouse 14 on Rick No 29.  Individually selected, filtered and bottled by hand.
  • Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whisky 1954 Gold Medal – The sixth bottle in the Jack Daniel’s Gold Medal series honours the 1954 Brussels, Belgium Star of Excellence, which Jack Daniels  won in 1954.  Legend has it that 3 random bottles were pulled off the bottling line and sent on their way to this famous whiskey judging competition – the distillery advertising team was quite upset at the lack of preparation – until Jack Daniels won!
  • Pappy Van Winkles 20 Year Old – The Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery is home to the highest rated whiskeys in the world. In a blind taste test of whiskey labels from around the world, The Beverage Tasting Institute in Chicago gave the 20-year old Pappy Van Winkle’s Family Reserve a 99 out of 100 rating… the highest mark ever awarded.
