After a successful launch in September 2013, Field to Fork is back for its second season in Chilliwack. This popular event pairs independent Chilliwack restaurants with area farmers and food producers for a fresh and uniquely local dining experience.
Chilliwack BC, Tuesday September 30th to Saturday October 4th – Diners will be treated to fresh and local dining options at Bravo, Bozzini’s, Little Beetle Bistro, Society Gathering House and Vita Bella Bistro. Chef’s have chosen Ingredients supplied by local farms and markets such as the Local Harvest Market, Forstbauer Farms, Happy Days Dairy, Fraser Valley Specialty Poultry, Abundant Acres farms and many more. Chilliwack is known as being the Green Heart of British Columbia. The area is rich in agriculture and produces some of the best quality food products anywhere in the world. Chilliwack is also a growing community with a changing demographic and not everyone is aware of the abundance that is available locally. Field to Fork was created to bring better awareness to local consumers about all the many great food options that are available right here in Chilliwack.
Field to Fork appeals to locavores that like the unique flavour of non-chain restaurants and who also are environmentally and socially conscious. Diners want to know where the food is sourced and are more willing to support businesses that provide local products.
