Lumière Receives Coveted Five Diamond Award

Proprietors David and Manjy Sidoo and partner Chef Daniel Boulud are extraordinarily pleased to announce that Lumière restaurant in Vancouver received the coveted Five Diamond Award Designation from AAA/CAA for 2011 – a designation awarded to just one British Columbia restaurant, and reserved for less than one-quarter of one percent of the over 26,000 AAA approved restaurants in North America and the Caribbean. Only six Canadian restaurants were awarded Five Diamonds. Chef Boulud’s world-renowned Restaurant DANIEL in New York, received the prestigious Five Diamond designation as well again this year.

“Manjy, Daniel and I are extraordinarily proud and humbled that our passion for and commitment to providing Vancouver with the quintessential fine French dining experience has been recognized by our peers. In equal measure, we congratulate Chefs Dale MacKay and Daniel Boulud and the entire Lumière team, and thank our loyal, impassioned clientele without whose shared commitment to the pursuit of dining excellence, Lumierè’s success and popularity would not be possible,” says David Sidoo. This is the sixth year that Lumière has received the AAA Five Diamond Award.
