“Noches Mexicanas” (Mexican Nights) are traditional gatherings that celebrate the Independence of Mexico. It is customary for them to be on the night of the 15th of September. During these gatherings, friends and family prepare typical cuisine, wear traditional clothing, as well as listen, sing, and dance to beloved folklore music. At one point in the evening, a bell will ring in remembrance of the start of the fight for Independence with the Cry of Dolores, made originally by Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla on September 16, 1810 at daybreak.

This year’s Independencia Gala Dinner promises to be a night to remember. For the first time in Canada, coveted Mexican fashion House Pineda Covalin will showcase their Fall/Winter Collection at the Independencia Gala Dinner. Followed by mariachi and a live band; guests will feel like they are in an elegant yet traditional party in Mexico. We are expecting over 300 people to attend.
